Explicit Instruction to Reach Every Student

Designed for school-based professional learning for groups of 10-40+ teachers and administrators, this full-day, in-person or live-virtual training focuses on quality, research-based Tier 1 instructional practices that have proven effective in reaching all learners in the classroom, including those with learning and attention challenges. An overview and simulations of the most common learning and attention challenges is followed by explicit instruction and differentiation techniques that enhance the impact of current lessons and increase student independence and success. The training includes opportunities for participants to plan with colleagues and support from the facilitator as they integrate their learning into an upcoming lesson and plan to implement research-based instructional strategies in their classroom.

• Enhancing knowledge of high-incidence learning disabilities and their impact on students in the classroom
• Explicit Instructional Techniques for both content area and study skills
• Planning for differentiation during lesson delivery
• Suggestions for extending the learning and continued collaboration with colleagues to create lasting change
