Hill Methodology

Hill has codified the reading, writing, and math curriculum developed and delivered in Hill School over 40 years into copyrighted methodology for instructing students with learning and attention challenges. Hill trains teachers to deliver these differentiated, research-based strategies in classrooms, pull-out intervention, learning centers, tutoring, and other settings.

Hill’s instruction philosophy is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach which focuses on teaching students the structure of language, while incorporating precision teaching techniques including charting and graphing student progress. Using Hill assessments, an individualized instructional plan is created for each student. Progress is continually monitored as students work toward mastery of skills.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hill Learning Center has transitioned to distance learning and remote operations through May 15. Access to campus is restricted to essential personnel only.

While we are unable to accommodate on-campus tours and visits at this time, our Admissions Team will be offering virtual appointments and information sessions.
