Participants will learn strategies to support students’ increased writing maturity. These explicit strategies instruct students how to apply grammar conventions in composition, write with sentence variety, write a “story” instead of a list of events or facts, write with increased complexity of sentence structure, and increase proficiency in editing and revising. These strategies are especially effective for students who benefit from direct instruction of skills, practice of individual skills, and scaffolding.
A partial scholarship for this workshop may be available. Please fill out this form and you will be notified if a scholarship is available.
