The Hill Center offers a unique half-day program to students in grades K-12 with
diagnosed learning disabilities or attention deficit disorders who are enrolled at either a public or private school for a portion of the day. Throughout the academic year, students who are enrolled at The Hill Center in grades K-8 have the option of attending an After School Study Hall. This program is provided until 4:30 daily for students who need a quiet, teacher-supervised environment in which to complete their homework. In addition The Hill Center offers a five-week Summer Program for students in grades K-6 that provides daily instruction in reading, written language, and math.
Student Enrichment offerings include The Hill Tutoring Connection, which provides
trained tutors for students throughout the Triangle area; a five-week study skills program for middle and upper school students; as well as a variety of other enrichment opportunities including Keyboarding and SAT Preparation classes. Students do not need to be diagnosed as having a learning disability or attention deficit disorders to enroll in student enrichment classes or tutoring. Parent education programs are scheduled at regular intervals throughout the school year. The meetings include an open house for meeting teachers and additional meetings which focus on topics of particular interest to The Hill Center parent population. |
