  Referral Procedure

  1. Parent calls The Tutoring Connection to express intereste in hiring a tutor.
  2. The Tutoring Coordinator discusses tutoring rates and asks the parent to read the Referral Procedure and fill out the Online Parent Referral Form.
  3. Once the Tutoring Coordinator receives the completed Referral form, she will find tutors who may be an appropriate match to the needs and schedule of the child. The parents will receive, by phone or email, contact information for these tutors.
  4. The parent should contact each tutor to discuss plans/needs and decide which tutor best matches the child's needs.
  5. Once the parent has decided with whom he/she would like their child to work, the parent must call the Tutoring Coordinator to let the Center know that tutoring is ready to take place. Parents will then need to complete the tutoring contract.
  6. Ideally, parents should come to The Hill Center to review and sign the contract with the Tutoring Coordinator. However, if this is not possible, the Tutoring Coordinator will fax or mail the contract to the parent who should then call the Tutoring Coordinator once the contract is received. The parent and Tutoring Coordinator will then review the contract via phone.
  7. TUTORING CAN ONLY TAKE PLACE ONCE A CONTRACT HAS BEEN SIGNED.
