The Hill Reading Achievement Program, also know as "HillRAP", is an adapted version of the highly successful Hill Center Methodology. Specifically created as a tutoring model for students who are experiencing reading difficulties, this program is implemented in small group sessions which focus on:
- Oral Drill
- Phonological Awarenesss
- Word Attack/Sight Words
- Fluency
- Reading/Comprehension
Each level of "HillRAP" includes carefully-selected materials that will be used for instruction. Students will use workbooks that target specific phonetic patterns taught at each level, and will use EOG materials to supplement instruction in reading. Students will be pre- and post-tested, and parents will have an interim as well as a final meeting with the instructor. A written summary of final performance will be prepared for each student.
