The Program Model allows an organization to adopt a Hill Center program, such as the Hill Reading Achievement Program (HillRAP), while following the standards and prescribed guidelines for effective implementation. This model requires teachers to complete HillRAP certification in order to replicate desired achievement results and is appropriate for implementation with struggling learners. The research based HillRAP is an adapted version of the Hill Methodology Reading curriculum and includes all of the program components, but has been modified so that it can be implemented in a class period. The HillRAP program takes the Hill Methodology reading curriculum and segments it into five levels ranging from pre-reading skills to decoding and spelling multi-syllable words. Each level has the following components: oral drill, phonological awareness, word attack/sight words, fluency, and spelling.
